Since 2017, Goebel Porzellan has been supporting the association “Rettet die Elefanten Afrikas e.V.” with some sponsorships. In this way, we would like to make the public even more aware of the need to do more to protect this endangered species. The donations are needed for feed, blankets, wages for the keepers as well as for the medical care of the animals and much more. Part of the money is also used to protect the wild elephant herds. Because only if the safety of the elephants is guaranteed, the future of our "orphan elephants" will be secured, who will later be able to reconnect with the wild herds.
Goebel has intensified its support since 2018 and donates part of every elephant figure sold from the Elephant range to the “REAeV” association. In this way we want to set a good example and encourage many more people to take on a sponsorship. If we all feel responsible, this species can be successfully protected.
