Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918), co-founder of the "Vienna Secession", combined the various directions of international Art Nouveau in his magnificent paintings and thus became his most important representative. Across all temporal and spatial boundaries, his best-known painting "The Kiss" is considered to be the "Allegory of Love" par excellence.
